RESUME

"I try to remind and emphasize that we are all humans before we are artists/ dancers/ performers"

I put my successful* career down to my versatility and resilience.

I’ve spent the past 8 years working abroad in different countries, in different shows across different styles.

I’ve been lucky enough to; be a part of the dance scene for years in New York City; be able to call Beijing "home"; travel the world sailing around beautiful destinations, and be a part of new & meaningful shows in the UAE.

*under my own personal definition of success.

Since leaving as a student in 2015, Emily has been teaching contemporary on and off at One Youth Dance Company, which provides pre-professional training. Emily taught jazz technique and contemporary at Frenchwoods Festival of the Performing Arts. Following this, she remained in New York, working professionally as a dancer and teaching across various dance studios. She joined MoveDipr contemporary dance company as a core company member.

Emily moved to Beijing, China, to become the head of dance at H&H Performing Arts School, teaching ballet, jazz, contemporary, singing, acting, and musical theatre, while also directing and choreographing shows. In China, she taught jazz technique and contemporary at Millennium Dance Complex and trained a contemporary company, one of the first of its kind in Beijing, alongside choreographing pieces for music videos.

She completed a contract with Carnival Cruise Lines, where the shows were technique and show-girl heavy. Since being in the UAE, Emily has worked as a movement director for TV Commercials, including FACES Beauty, Mercedes, BMW, Xiaomi, Nikon, and Mgmotors, and choreographed the Modesh World show.

Emily has been working closely with Sima Contemporary Dance Company and is teaching at Sharjah Performing Arts Academy. She participated in the EXPO Opening Ceremony, was involved in shows taking place on the Millennium stage, and was a cast member in "Why? The Musical".
